How are you spending Valentine's Day?
Working. SO ROMANTIC.
Anyone else getting spam messages here on Vox?
I hate spam. The canned variety, too.
Brian Sabean has hit the big time. He's been quoted on one of my favorite sports blogs, Fire Joe Morgan.
Stay wise, Sabes. Stay wise.
I am a farmer who raise ducks and cows. The animals have a total of 9 heads and 26 feet. How many ducks and cows do I have?
Submitted by The BlueTie.Four cows and five ducks.
This is a really random question of the day, and yet it sucked me in. The nerd inside of me cannot resist questions like this, just like I could never resist the logic puzzles in all of those puzzle books my parents used to buy to keep us entertained on family vacations.
I hate Joe Buck.
Way to take a dig at Barry Bonds ("We all know who the true home run champion is.") and completely ignore mentioning Tim Lincecum.
Jerk.
Initially I was kind of disappointed that I'd be missing the All-Star Game tonight, especially since Tim Lincecum's spot in the rotation had been lined up perfectly to allow him to start the game. Then the Giants went and swapped their rotation around, so Lincecum would pitch this last Sunday, pretty much nixing any chances that he'd start the All-Star Game, which was fine, because I was afraid of Clint Hurdle and the other coaches breaking him anyway. There was still a chance that he'd come in for an inning or so to mow batters down, which would have been cool. I was going to tape the game just for that, really, and for Brian Wilson, in case he gets to come in and throw some 100mph heat at some Red Sox and Yankees.
Then this afternoon rumors started swirling about that Lincecum, the great hope for all Giants fans around the world, had been taken to the hospital from his hotel room on a stretcher.
(Insert collective heart attack here.)
It turns out that Lincecum has the flu (or flu-like symptoms) and was probably dehydrated, and to be on the safe side, was taken on a stretcher to go to the hospital. He missed the red carpet parade and won't pitch, which is okay, because if "The Franchise" is sick, I'd rather he rest up and get better than potentially make things worse by appearing in a game that counts but doesn't really because the AL wins every year. Still, it's a little disappointing, but hey, at least he's okay, and at least Brian Wilson is slated to pitch in the eighth inning.
I guess I'll tape the game anyway and fast forward to the eighth inning.
I just got the repair estimate for my trusty 30D. It's actually a little less than I thought it would be.
I suppose I can stop looking at 40D and 5Ds. For now. Ha.
Now to approve the repairs and pay up so I can get my buddy back ASAP.
Vote for Aaron Rowand. Brian Wilson wants you to.
(That's texting N4 to 36197, by the way. The video is here.)
You know you want to. After all, how can you not resist a guy who slides into bases like this?
